Technology Integration Plan- Building Trades (Rough Draft)

I decided to focus on our wall building unit in our building trades class. The problem of practice that is addressed is that students have difficulty recalling the wall-building process throughout the class. I have added a video tutorial element along with a video evaluation component to the assignment. The video will be added to the student's classroom Google site upon completion. The video will be accessible for future reference throughout the class.

Please let me know if you have any feedback/suggestions. Thak you!

Bronco, you did a really nice job in explaining the problem and its importance. I liked that students will be given feedback to other students through VideoANT. I've never thought of doing this. It's a great idea because students tend to ignore teacher feedback, but if students are providing feedback they most likely take it into consideration. Finally, I like the idea of Phase 3 where students give you feedback through a survey.

I agree. The idea of using VideoANT to have students engage with the material is a great idea. It is nice they can comment on the video at anytime so it would not take away from instructional time. That way you can focus on the skills they need to learn while working on the project.

Utilizing VideoAnt during your project for feedback is a very neat application. I wouldn't have thought of that but it would be great for the students to get some valuable feedback. Also, having them add it to Google Drive or a site for referencing later is a great idea too. Having those tools to refer back to can be super beneficial in the learning process.

I am super happy that you added that video for them to reference. That is so important. I can say this works. I was able to tell my students that they could always reference the video lesson that I had posted. It also helps for those absent students or the ones who might have tuned you out the first time around! The only thing I would say to add is an objectives slide that alignes with your standards.

I love the idea of incorporating the video! Not only does it allow students a resource to review, it also gives them the opportunity to explain which will solidify their own understanding.
