Curriculum Map- Building Trades

In this curriculum map, I cover 6 of the main topics/ standards throughout the course. I tried to focus on specific skills that students have some difficulty with throughout the class. One thing that students often struggle with is recalling specific details from a skill that we completed at the beginning of the year. The best way to demonstrate and review these skills is visually. Much of what we do cannot be communicated properly in writing. I have tried to incorporate a variety of video reviews, video curation, and video evaluations so that students can look back at them throughout the class. Videos are also easily accessible from their phone if we they need to review when we are working outside of the school.

Wow, the Padlet looks great. I really liked that you will ask students to estimate the materials for the shed and then the cost by going to the Menards website. It was interesting to me because students are able to apply it to their lives if they consider building a shed in the future. I also liked that you included the links to the media and texts they would use.
