Curriculum Map

Reflection

While making the curriculum map, I was intimidated to begin the challenge because I didn't know how everything would line up with the ISTE Standards. Yet, it left me surprised at how nicely it flowed. It also made me feel confident that if I did this again in the future, I will be able to do it and enjoy doing the planning. To be completely honest, I always have always thought about the technology tool and then focused on the students. I just believed that if the technology tool was great then the students will learn, but I was completely wrong. Students learning always comes first and then technology.

You map is good and really correlates well with learning activities, technology and standards. The World-Readiness Standards are something I always reference and have printed and hanging near my desk. They really help me modify my lesson and stick to the goals. Way to go.

The World-Readiness Standards for Learning Languages do meet up well with the ISTE Standards. The content area skills you have describe lend themselves towards authentic learning. You do an excellent job of describing what you want students to be able to do and then find a variety of technology tools which will enable them to build their skills. Well done!
