Find #1: I came across an event in my Twitter feed that I am excited about participating in; Flipgrid Live. I have really enjoyed using Flipgrid as a student at ISU and as an educator within my own class. I am looking forward to find out new ways other teachers are using this tool in their own classrooms.
Find #2: I came across a new tool, Zearn, while investigating simulation software for challenge number four. I really like it and am planning on using it for the creation portion of the challenge. I don't know if Twitter is similar to Facebook in that things you are looking at elsewhere then show up in your feed, but I came across "Zearn" as a suggestion to follow and was happy that I did.
Find #3: I found out that you can select certain topics to follow and that related tweets will then show up in your feed. I was excited about this because there might be educational resourses I am unaware of and I can more readily learn about them this way.
Find #4: I found out that sometime even though Twitter is such a fast network of educators, sometimes it is still a very small world. I participated in an educational chat on Wednesday evening and it came up in discussion where we all were from and one of the moderators is from Clinton, IL.
Find #5: Even though no one responded, I tried tweeting out some of my thoughts on our reading this week. Until now I have really only felt comfortable participating in Twitter chats or being a "consumer" of tweets. It is hard for me to know what to say to meaningfully contribute. On Facebook I use it for my personal life and Twitter is more for my professional life.
Oh I will be keeping a look out for the Flipgrid live!
