Find #1: I was really excited this morning when participating in a STEM chat for primary teachers. One of the questions was what resources we found useful when integrating STEM into our classrooms, and I feel like the resources we all pooled together for our Wakelet gives us all an amazing place to start!
Find #2: I was proud to share my Technology Integration plan with the other members of the chat this morning. Even though the focus was technology integration in a math lesson, by including the farming theme and showing the implications and applications the lesson has by visiting the farm, I feel there are lots of science connections as well. I realized just how well this class has prepared me on so many levels.
Find #3: I more purposefully started following the hashtag #tch432 instead of just using it in my posts and I am glad that I did. I was able to find even more great resources to use in the fall.
Find #4: When I was taking TCH401 I participated the the #6thchat and really enjoyed it. I have popped into the chat from time to time and saw today that the moderator is switching positions. Even though I have never met her in person, I was genuinely excited for her. I realized that we can make pretty meaningful professional relationships through this platform.
Find #5: Just when you feel you are getting the hang of it, in comes a curveball. I have participated in a special education chat (#SENexchange) for the past couple weeks and have really, really liked it. Since I will be new to the field next year it is nice to talk to other veterans. It has been at 2pm on Wednesdays CST for the past three weeks. But then yesterday, nothing. Hopefully they will have another one next week. However, it did push me to explore other chats and that was part of my "What's Next for Me?" plan anyway. So it worked out. I found another one I really like #PrimarySTEMChat. One thing I found really interesting is that both of these chats are not hosted by moderators in the US, so figuring out the times has been interesting at times.
