Technology Integration Plan- Final

Additional Reflection:

I used the course content within my plan by incorporating the TIP model along with a hands-on learning approach. Technology integration was a huge component within our every day experiences within this class. I learned that it is not about identifying ways to teach technology, but instead about identifying ways students can learn using technology. My problem statement includes one of the problems that I identified within my 'problems of practice' challenge (Students need more hands-on learning experiences in science instead of textbook, paper and pencil procedures). I solved my problem by incorporating the TIP model (technology driven steps within the lesson) along with hands-on learning experiences. I included a variety of technology resources my students will use as they complete the steps of the lesson. Technology can help primary students embrace the inquiry process while developing essential skills for learning science. When learning about disciplinary technologies and practices, tools, access & support, and contemporary practices for 21st century learners I realized the IMPORTANCE of having students learn through the use of technology. There are many different platforms, resources and avenues of learning. They need these experiences if we want to prepare them for their life outside school/after school. Jobs in today's society need this type of expertise from its workers. It is hard to prosper without its incorporation in some way, shape or form. In today's society, there are so many different platforms that students can use to engage themselves in learning. I have learned more this year about these platforms than I ever have and want my students to become familiar with these kinds of opportunities. Using TIP as an integration process is something new that I have not experienced before this class. I enjoyed reading about its incorporation and experimenting with its incorpation within my lesson.
