Interacting & Visualizing post-Britt

Updated: Jul 1, 2021

Witin my slideshow I chose to talk about the platform Mystery Science. It is a great interactive website for students. I learned about this website (this summer) from a colleague. I love its setup and presentation for students. The plant presentation is one that I want to start using in my classroom. I do a 'plant study' every year in my classroom. I can have students watch the video within Mystery Science (answer discussion questions) at the beginning of our lesson. To extend the lesson, I can have students plant plants and document the changes they see within their observation notebook. Students can end the lesson by sharing their journals and completing an exit ticket.

I really like how this resource seems to have everything the teachers will need ready to go! I think the most challenging part about this sort of thing is implementation, so it is helpful when a lot of the prep work is done. I really like that opportunity for student involvement through the voting process.
