Week 3 #f5f
This week I concentrated on finding some resources for my classroom. I found a good podcast episode that had good reminders in planning which then I found a planning article. These are always refreshing to read and have plenty of takeaways.
One article taught me about the “summer-melt” and engagement with students over the summer. The article discussed how many students are accepted to universities and students commit, but then life can throw curve balls and students end up unable to attend. This is the “summer-melt”. The article goes on to discussing the roles of educators and this I found to be interesting because it is very easy to walk out of the classroom on the last day of school and not look back. But students need us and this I took away and need to use as a learning moment and continue discussion and checking in with my students.
Here’s another week where Twitter was a learning tool for me and I am really enjoying the resources I am finding.
