This week I continued searching for tweets that 'stood out' to me as a teacher. I retweeted tweets from some of the same people as last week, and also found a few new people to retweet. I connected a lot with the last quote I retweeted ("no bad kids"). I actually have it printed out in my planner. I read it when needed. I liked watching the videos within the 'top 5 tips' retweet. I felt connected (in some way) with all my retweets this week.
This week I focused my search on topics of interest. These posts really stuck out to me and my experience as a teacher. I am switching from frist grade to k-1 special ed this coming school year. I've always felt connected with the behavior quotes I retweeted. All of them are so very true!
1. I look at twitter differently than I did before this class. I used to look at it as a way to socialize with friends. It's so much more. It's a great resource for teachers.
2. The twitter introduction video was very helpful. Thank you for the share!
3. I plan to become more active with twitter now that I am more familiar with what it entails.
4. I really like the hypothesis extension. I would like to try it with my students- they can highlight text and annotate their thinking.
5. I like using slack more than I like using our isu email.

This week I am getting familiar with twitter and what it entails for us as educators.
Five "finds":
