Epiphany Project

Purpose:  We’ve been working extremely hard this year on our learning standards as well as life standards! Throughout the year, hopefully, you experienced ‘light bulb’ moments that change your thinking and that you’ve contributed to your learning!

Directions:  Think about all of the knowledge you gained throughout the year in Language Arts.  Reflect on your knowledge and construct something that communicates your learning.  What this construction can be is completely up to you.  *Think about some of the class examples as a means to think about your construction.

Guidelines to Think About:

  • Covering and discussing your learning standards throughout the year

  • Think about the life skills you’ve learned throughout the year (ex: time management, collaboration/working with others, setting and achieving goals, etc.)

  • Your strengths as a communicator - do you communicate better through art? Writing? Technology? Use your strength as an advantage

  • Consider your feedback throughout the year - how have you improved from the beginning of the year? How has feedback shaped your thinking?

Construction Zone:

  • Create a game plan - what will you do and what will you discuss?

  • How will you achieve your plan within the given time frame?

  • How will you share this information on the day scheduled?

  • Class time work days will be Friday May 13th and Monday May 16th

  • Presentation days will be Monday May 23rd and Tuesday May 24th

Other Things to Consider:

  • Please sign up for a discussion time for your epiphany - the sooner, the better

  • Individuals or partners are allowed - NO MORE THAN 2 people per epiphany

    • Partners MUST be in corresponding hours

    • Partner work MUST be chosen wisely

  • This is a reflection of your ENTIRE year in here - make sure you spend the time necessary to think about your learning
